Who We Are
KM PowerGen is an independent technical advisory firm specializing in heavy-duty power generation equipment. We work directly for plant owners and operators — providing the kind of unbiased, experienced guidance that is difficult to find when every other option comes with a financial interest in the outcome.
The firm was founded by Keith Melvin, whose career spans decades of hands-on field work with gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and balance-of-plant systems across a wide range of facilities and OEM platforms. That depth of direct experience — not secondhand knowledge or OEM training materials — is the foundation of everything KM PowerGen does.

We have no financial relationships with OEMs, parts suppliers, or service contractors. Our recommendations are based solely on what is best for the equipment and the facility — not on what generates the next sale or referral.
